Baptist Health Nursing and Rehabilitation Center

Since 1977, Baptist Health Nursing and Rehabilitation has been providing critical services to the Scotia, Glenville and Schenectady area. It is an incredible honor to realize how many elders and their families have placed their trust in us.

Not for Profit vs For-Profit

Baptist Health Nursing and Rehabilitation Center is a part of the Baptist Health System, a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit organization. When a community is for-profit, it is obligated to its stakeholders or the chain of communities it belongs to to make a profit. In contrast, not-for-profit communities such as Baptist Health are typically affiliated with a group that shares its mission. While every community charges fees for patients to stay, as a nonprofit community, Baptist Health reinvest any funds received back into our community to help improve the quality of life for our residents.

Baptist is blessed to have so many exceptional people, past and present, that have devoted themselves to our mission. We are grateful to our to staff, volunteers, our board of directors, churches, families, and the community for helping make this organization one of the finest and most recognized providers of aging services in our area. In November of 2017, we celebrated our 40th anniversary of “People Caring for People.” BHNRC has now been serving the community for over 42 years and we look forward, with great optimism, to the next 42 years.
