Superior Care
Residents here will tell you they feel an extra sense of security, because BHNRC is one of the few nursing homes to have full time physicians on staff. That means everyone has his or her own personal physician who makes "house calls". And it means one of the staff physicians is available to provide around-the-clock coverage. Explains Dr. Robert Ringler, Medical Director of BHNRC, "We can devote our energies to our residents and offer them a continuity of care that's hard to find elsewhere. We take the time to really get to know all of our residents as well as their families in an effort to provide the best possible individualized medical care. Having physicians on staff reduces the number of BHNRC residents who need to be admitted to a hospital. Dr. Ringler emphasizes how important this is to the well-being of residents. "They're going to be treated in familiar surroundings by a physician who thoroughly understands their medical history." So if you start a conversation with a BHNRC resident, don't be surprised to hear about the wonderful care. And if you start a conversation with Dr. Ringler, don't be surprised if he raves about everyone who works at BHNRC. He's quick to say, "The staff are extremely caring. They treat the residents like family." |
