Rehabilitative ServicesThe Baptist Health Nursing and Rehabilitation Center offers excellence in comprehensive rehabilitation services to individuals with disabilities to reach their fullest potential and to facilitate their transition from Baptist Health to family and community. The rehabilitation multi-disciplinary team provides state-of-the-art care for the resident's physical and psycho-social needs. Physical Therapy
Occupational TherapyOccupational Therapy assists residents with physical and cognitive disabilities to participate in their daily life activities at the most independent level. Occupational Therapists are trained in safety and in the use of assistive devices to maximize independence and prevent injury. All residents admitted to the facility will have an evaluation to determine need for services. Such daily life skills as bathing, dressing, eating, cooking, cleaning and other household skills are addressed. Speech TherapyResidents with communication and/or swallowing disorders arising from neurological damage, commonly caused by disabilities such as stroke and head trauma, are evaluated and treated by our Speech and Language Pathologist, Diane Grabo. She is known as an innovative leader and valued resource in the area of speech pathology throughout The Capital Region. Individual treatment programs are developed at Baptist to improve the use of language. |
