The Commitment to Serve

The Baptist Healthy System Foundation is dedicated to caring for the frail elderly and their families throughout the community which we service known as The Capital Region of New York State. We fundraise, support and implement programs related to education, research and innovation for geriatric care, advocacy for the aged along with special health services and programs for persons of all ages.

The Foundation staff will work with you without obligation and in complete confidence. All donations will be acknowledged promptly upon receipt. Contributions are tax deductible in accordance to IRS regulations.

Ways to Give

There are many ways to give to the Foundation:
Gifts of Cash can provide immediate help for programs, services, and equipment. Gifts can be made with cash, personal check, or credit card. To make a contribution by mail, please make checks payable to BHS Foundation, 297 North Ballston Ave, Scotia, NY 12302. Please do not send cash in the mail!

Gifts in Memory or in Tribute provide a way to honor the memory of a loved one or to acknowledge someone special in celebration of a milestone such as a birthday, anniversary, or the birth or a child; to establish a family connection; or to name a program, wing, or building.

Matching Gifts provide a way to make the most of your donation. Many companies offer matching gift programs and many provide this benefit to employees, spouses, partners, and retired employees. Most corporate matching gifts are unrestricted and substantially increase the value of your individual gift. Please contact your company’s Human Resources office for more information.

Gifts-In-Kind include products or services that the Foundation may currently be in need of. Please call 518-370-4700 ext 123 for current necessities.

Gifts of Bequests, Securities or Other Assets include appreciated stock, bonds, or real estate and can be sold or invested for the long-term benefit of the Foundation and inclusion in your will.

Sponsorships are a wonderful way to align your organization with our mission to improve the lives of our residents and their families. Baptist Health System hosts several events throughout the year including our annual comedy event and our annual signature event The Alfred Kahler Memorial Golf Tournament 18 Hole Team Scramble.

The Baptist Health System Foundation Scholarship

Do you know of a High School Senior in Fulton, Montgomery, Saratoga, Schenectady or Schoharie County who will be attending college pursuing a career in a health care related field?  Let them know about The Baptist Health System Foundation Scholarship.   We are currently accepting applications.  There will be one High School Senior awarded $2,500 from all who apply.

We also will be awarding a scholarship in the amount of $2,500 to one Returning Education Student pursuing a higher level of education to apply to their health related career path.  Returning student applications will be accepted from throughout The Capital Region.
